Ever since her comeback to the small screen, veteran TV actor Gautami Kapoor has been complimented for her enviable figure even after so many years of leaving the film and television world.
As she talks about her role in the newly launched show Tere Sheher Mein on Star Plus, one wonders how she manages to maintain a glowing face and such a stunning figure.
She says, “I don’t believe in dieting but I am a strong believer of strictly scheduling my food. I never eat after 7 p.m. I go to the gym and work out rigorously. I believe one should eat everything but in small quantity."
"If I ignore my craving to eat something one day, the next day it will be eating 10 pieces of it. So it is better to satisfy oneself in a limited manner. After all we are only human!”
“I think anybody who has determination to stay fit and healthy finds ways to eat intelligently and exercise regularly despite an overloaded work schedule,” says Gautami.
An actor working for a television show has a rigid time schedule and gets little time for self health evaluation. Gautami beats the odds by taking time out for exercises during work.
“We have such a busy schedule that I sometimes have to miss my gym. But I take my alternative method of brisk walking at the sets during my free time,” she says.
In the new serial, Gautami is playing the mother of three daughters.
She conveys the essence of the story by communicating its message of never giving up, “Life is about confidence and keeping your will alive throughout the lows of life and being strong.”
She is playing an upper middle class wife who is not too vain about the high end life she lives and tries to keep her children grounded.
