Actor Neeru Bajwa who started her career with Dev Anand in Bollywood film Main Solah Baras Ki and then moved on to TV soaps and Punjabi films reveals that happiness and positive attitude is the secret behind her youthful appearance.
Neeru was in the Capital to promote her recently released film Jatt n Juliet 2 .
Elaborating on her daily fitness schedule, Neeru, remembered for her portrayal of Kiran in Astitva… ek prem kahani says, “As soon as I wake up I am at the gym. For me, gymming is my priority and I work out vigorously to keep myself physically fit. If I do not get to go to the gym because of busy schedule, I have a quick cardio workout app on my I-phone which makes it flexible for me to workout at home.”
She harps on the importance of a balanced diet and adequate water intake.
“A nutritive balanced diet and water intake in an apt quantity is of utmost importance for body as well as skin. I have at least three litres of water everyday and avoid white breads and white flour.” She advises that one must stick to wheat and avoid whites as it is not good for health.
Noting the difference between a thin body and a fit body, Neeru says, “Thinness is just about being thin physically whereas fitness includes a fit mind, fit body, fit soul which is, undoubtedly, much better and more beautiful.”
Like many of us, she also at times, can’t resist junk food.
“I get tempted towards these delicacies all the time. So I try to have them in moderation as I can’t stay away from them. I eat in small quantity and also workout extra for the extra calorie intake.”
