he boundary between films and fashion seems to be fading with each style season. As more and more stars grace the front row of their favourite designers, with many of them turning showstoppers, the glamour quotient is peaking on runways. Hyderabad-based Anushree Reddy roped in the charismatic Telugu actor Rana Daggubati and the dainty heroine of Vikram’s last outing I to showcase her bridal line-up at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week winter-festive. Her ‘The Oasis at Sunset’ collection caught the eye with its pleasing pastels that would make for fairy-tale weddings, and intricate embroidery as well as refreshing florals on wispy chiffons and fluid georgettes. Not to be missed was the characteristic Hyderabadi zardosi work on some of the creations. Though peach, nude, vintage rose pink and beige were the dominant colours, the line also included some brighter shades such as yellow and jewel tones. According to the designers, this one was for the free-spirited new-age bride, who can be as comfortable in a Victorian-era-inspired outfit to something that symbolised Indian ethos.

On the sidelines of the show, Rana spoke about his big hit Baahubali, its impact on his career and his plans to come up with a trilingual soon.
