It's your haircut that defines your look, your personality and your attitude. A good trendy haircut makes a world of difference to your appearance, how you feel and your confidence. But again going by our conditioning and environment, we have this tremendous fear to sport a good hairstyle which is different. “What will people say” is the factor that keeps haunting us. So think for yourself and decide whether you want to be different, look different and have your own personal brand and identity. Forget the U cut- it’s passé. Try out the latest trends and styles.
Before you get a haircut
Identify a good hairstylist in your city. Discuss your preference, purpose, your personality kind, the length. If you are shown a book, you could choose a few and discuss about it since at the end it will be your face and your hair, not Angelina Jolie's.
Finally, your hair would look fabulous immediately after the haircut since they would use the blow dryer, smoothing agents et al.
And once you wash your hair at home, it would look a mess. If you have the time and talent to maintain the cut the same way it is fine. Otherwise, ask for a cut that doesn't need much maintenance and looking after.
Suggestions forfine and straight hair for women
A straight blunt to the nape of your neck. The length could vary depending on the shape of your face.
A modified bob with uneven ends would also look cool and trendy giving a casual, messed up look. Bangs (not very short ones) often work well especially the uneven kind. If you decide to tie your hair into a pony tail, the bangs would give it a soft look.
Even a short, tapered cut with angles add volume.
For a longer look, keep it shoulder length or longer and you could try layers. Having the ends notched in an irregular edge can lighten them and add a bit of volume.
A cut which is longer in the front and shorter in the back will help give your style more shape. So go head, throw caution in the air, experiment, get a new trendy look. If you don't like it, remember, the hair would always grow back!
