The star-lit sky is your roof, the natural breeze your sense soothers and the swimming pool is your entertainment zone. Atop Vivanta, you will wonder if in reality you are right in the heart of the city in a zone where everyone is greeted by traffic jams. The grill at Vivanta is a non messy layout of tables by the swimming pool. The desert fans spraying mist along with the air from a distance will further cool your senses. With summer giving in to the monsoon, going to the grill on a balmy evening will be a good idea. Grill being by the poolside takes the worries away of ‘how to dress up’ for dinner.

Dress for a relaxed meal or should it a relaxed evening and stroll and grab the table of your choice.

And before you begin to order you can also choose to take a dip in the pool. Or else sit to relax and breathe in the air in the open and let the light music work its magic on you.

At the grill, there are a lot of choices to begin with. Go for a signature cocktail or for a fruity cooler. The non-alcoholic ones are colourful and will keep you guessing about the flavours in it.

The best way to enjoy food at The Grill is — tell chef your choice of veggies/meat and what your palate is up to and forget about the menu. After that serious word with the chef, it’s time to let loose and indulge in any sort of talk your mind is set to. The experience at The Grill will be best with like minded people who ‘live to eat’ and isn’t too particular being in a temperature controlled environment.

If you are surrendering your meal to the chef then what you get in the beginning is the Amuse-Bouche platter to begin with. It comes with a fresh mango (or any seasonal fruit) and mint shooter. Test tubes here are put to better use than it was in the college labs. Along with it comes a small portion of Rosemary BBQ Chicken Wings. The bbq chicken wings are yummy and the flavour will remind you of Buffalo wings with chipotle sauce. The best way to enjoy them is to pick it by your fingers and lick it clean in jiffy.

The main course is spread over a choice of meat and fish and first comes the Mascarpone Tiger Prawns. Moist and soft, these prawns instantaneously melt and disappear. This and a few other treats will bring you back to Vivanta for more. The flow of food continues with Moroccan Spiced Fish Fillet, a very light and mild preparation. Leg piece lovers will love the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Leg.

The other orders to expect at the grill are the Persian Jooje Kebab, Peri-Peri Chicken Fillet, Red Wine Grilled Lamb Shanks, Parmesan mashed potato and Salmon and Roe Canapé.

The Red Wine Grilled Lamb Shanks looks just what we see in international cookery shows. Dripping with the wine sauce and interestingly placed to tempt the carnivore in us. While you enjoy your lam shanks or chicken fillet add some parmesan mashed potato to it and the combo will make anyone fall in love with the potato.

The desserts are too messy but cannot say the same about the calorie count as they place the Callebaut dark chocolate soufflé and portion of vanilla ice-cream with cut fruits.
