Suggest home remedies that will make my face glow.— Nivedha

Tone your face daily with chilled rose water. Use a face and body scrub twice a week to brighten the skin. Mix ground almonds with curd, add a pinch of turmeric to it and use it as a scrub on the face and body. Or take sesame seeds, dried mint leaves and honey. Crush the sesame seeds and powder the dried mint leaves. Mix them with a little honey and apply it on the skin. Leave it on for five minutes. Rub gently before washing it off. Mix honey and lemon juice in equal quantities and apply it daily on your face. Wash it off after 20 minutes. It leaves the skin soft and glowing.

My toes are tanned. I tried pedicure and scrubbed them, but it did not help.— Tejaswini

Rub lemon halves daily on the toes. Wash it off and then massage your skin with til oil. Mix gram flour with curd, lemon juice and turmeric, make it into a paste and apply it on the feet thrice a week. Wash it off after half an hour. You can also apply a lemon-turmeric cream daily on your feet. When you return home after stepping out in the sun, immerse your feet in warm water, after adding lemon juice, oil and a little turmeric. Wash it off with water after 15 minutes.

I have facial hair. What should I do to remove it?— Soumya

You can have threading done at a beauty salon. Waxing strips may also be used on certain areas of the face, like the sides. Home remedies do not remove facial hair. But, they are said to lessen the growth if used regularly over a period of time. You may try the following remedy for discouraging facial hair growth. Make a thick paste of sugar, lemon juice and water and apply it in the direction of hair growth. Wash it off after it dries.
