For Nileena Pradeep and Subha Dayanand Art’y Threads is all about giving that magical touch to living spaces. They have channelised their interest in stitching and embroidery on to home linen products, thereby coming up with a range of products that stand out for unique designs, colour combinations and utility. To liven up your home with these products, drop in at a two-day exhibition by Art’y Threads that begins at Women’s Club, Kowdiar, today.

“We started the venture in 2011 and this is our fifth exhibition. As always we have something new this time as well,” says Nileena. And that includes grocery bags (“grocery plastic baggy holders”), wash basin towels and bed sheets with appliqué work for kids’ rooms and special occasions.

“The plastic baggy holder can be used to keep plastic carry bags/covers. The covers have to be folded neatly and kept in the holder. The holder, which can be hung anywhere, has an opening on the other side through which you can take out the covers as and when you want. These bags are washable,” says Subha. Nearly 50 covers can be kept in a holder which is priced at Rs. 150 per piece. The wash basin towels, which come in eye-soothing colours and with lace work, are priced at Rs. 150 for one. “In the case of the bed sheets, we have done designs of kids’ favourite cartoon characters. They come with matching pillow covers,” Subha adds.

The sale will also have the regular line-up of Art’y Threads products such as bed sheets, dining table covers, chair backs and matching place mats, table mats, runners, covers for grinders, mixies, microwave, fridge handle, fridge top, and tissue boxes, lunch box bags, shoulder bags, pouches, and bathroom mats among others.

The exhibition is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
