Ramgopal Varma had spotted her in an elevator and offered her Satya 2 , the second film 365 Days that fell on her lap was equally strange. As the film releases today, Anaika Soti says she subscribes to the content of the film and hopes people would learn a thing or two from the story and not just view it as RGV’s take on marriage.

She recalls, “How I landed in this film too was totally weird. I was in Hyderabad for an awards function and I bumped into him and he said he has a script and asked if I will do it. I stayed back for two days and heard the story and the next thing I knew I began shooting for it. There is a potential in the story to act and I am there in the entire film. Not just that, I had to memorise 40 to 45 pages of dialogues. In other films I haven’t spoken so much.”

Anaika had worked in a Tamil film Kaviya Thalaivan and found her confidence levels grow higher. Now she says she is in a better place to act. She avers, “I was very nervous before the start of the film. Siddarth, Prithiviraj and Vasant Balan sir made me very comfortable. It was a great opportunity to have worked with such a huge cast and team, though it did not do well commercially. I have hardly been there for 15 days and did not get much to know about Tamil cinema. I wish I had another offer from Tamil cinema. I did get offers but nothing good or exciting, I was keen on doing something on par or bigger than Kaviya Thalaivan,”

Coming back to 365 days Anaika reveals that RGV said that it is his story and he had this in mind for a long time and wanted to make it in Hindi called Galthi ka naam shaadi . It is not very preachy but if people want to, they can definitely learn what to expect from a marriage. The movie is a point of view from his side. “I do subscribe to his views and feel people should learn from this story. Since I have done this film I know how I should be with my love.” On her future plans, she says, “I am in talks with a few people and very soon will be signing a Bollywood and a Telugu film.”
