Singing a new tune

Remember what we had told you about Rakhi Sawant and the ‘kamini' word. There's more news on that front. While little is known about what happened to Rakhi's fast against the Censor Board, her partner in rhyme, IshQ Bector, has invited the original perpetrator of the said word — veteran actor Dharmendra — to sing his version of the song. Has Dharmendra agreed? We don't know that yet, but what a sincere effort!

A ‘different' item

Music composer Shamir Tandon has decided to show the world that he does not compose for just Madhur Bhandarkar-style reality films alone. He is now working on two animation films targeted at children — “Bal Ganesh 2” and “Pangaa Gang”. Shamir has come up with an unusual idea of an item number for children. He says that he wanted to do something different and, at the same time, keep ‘ethics' in mind. Apparently, the lyrics go ‘Mera item number great hai'.

Action no more

Looks like today's column is about ‘different' things. Take Ajay Devgn, for instance. Even though the man wants to stop doing comedy films, he lands one or even more in a year. Ajay started his career with action-oriented films such as “Phool Aur Kaante” and has had a dream run with “Golmaal”, “Golmaal Returns” and “All The Best”. Now, he has “Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge” with Paresh Rawal and Konkona Sen Sharma coming up next month.

“Every time I say I will run away from comedy, comedy chooses me. After “Atithi...”, I'll plunge headlong into “Golmaal 3”. When you deliberately resist something, it has a way of following you,” says the actor.
