I have never associated the idea of health with being thin or fat. According to me, fitness is cultivating your stamina, which makes one feel good about oneself. I believe that everyone should exercise in accordance with their metabolism to strengthen stamina.
On the personal front I must confess that I am lucky as I inherited great genes from my parents and don't have a tendency to gain weight. In my whole life I have never counted calories. Hence I have never followed any kind of diet. I can eat what I like and never think twice before eating. I try to exercise regularly, though that would be a dream achievement due to my working schedule! But whenever I get some time free I try to get back to it.
I also indulge in yoga as it energises me instantly. Without any doubt I believe that one should always eat in moderation and have an early dinner for a great body and healthy mind. Mental fitness is also very important as it makes all the difference. I feel that one should be healthy and should understand one's body structure.
Another way to a healthy body, in my view, is being surrounded by positive people because positivity is another secret to health.
