Do you want to get away from the hustle bustle of the city and have a moon-lit dinner amid chirping birds?
You need not pack your bags and rush off to some distant hill station for this. Right in the backyard of the city a new restaurant, Kona's Fine Dine Restaurant, was inaugurated at the scenic Durgam Cheruvu, on Thursday.
450-seat restaurant
Set amid the picturesque ‘secret' lake, the 450-seat restaurant also promises to offer the choicest best food one can get in the city. And in this endeavour the restaurant has roped in chef Mohammad Rauoof to recreate the Nizam-era cuisine.
Variety fare
“Kona's will provide an exquisite culinary experience that celebrates the classical, oriental and continental cuisine. Our dream of bringing the finest restaurant to the city is fulfilled today,” managing director of Kona's Vinod Kona said.
Value for money
Promising to give the best value for money, chef Rauoof said that the restaurant will also be serving Polynesian cocktails to its guests. Apart from a long menu, the restaurant also offers a choice of fixed menus for easy selection.
The restaurant also has a variety of seating options, and you have a choice of selecting a place according to your preference: be it on the terrace, on the lawns, inside a dining hall or a private hall for business conferences or a get-together.
But is the restaurant expensive? Chef Rauoof promises that a couple can have a wonderful evening with about Rs. 800.
“We want to give a rich experience to our guests and not to charge them exorbitantly,” he said.
