A simple chicken dish, packed with flavours

If on the lookout for an easy Indian chicken curry, then this one is definitely for you. You can have it either with steamed rice or roti.

Chicken hariyali curry

Ingredients

Chicken with bone (curry cut) 300gms

Cumin whole for tempering 5 gm

Ginger paste 20 gm

Garlic past 230 gm

Onion, chopped 250 gms

Fresh coriander paste 50 gm

Mint paste 50 gm

Green chilli paste 5 gm

Whole red chilli paste 2 gm

Oil for cooking 200 ml

Salt as per taste

Garam masala powder 2 gm

Method

Take the chicken, wash it and pat dry, keep aside. Make a paste of coriander, mint, green chilli, ginger and garlic.

Take a heavy base pan, add oil and heat it moderately. Add cumin seeds, when it crackles add ginger-garlic paste. Saute for a while.

Add chopped onions and keep sautéing till it becomes pink. Add the chicken, stir it until it gets tender.

Now add the coriander and mint paste and cook it for a while until the chicken is done and gravy is thickened.

Adjust the seasoning. Ganish with ginger julienne and coriander sprig.
