This one is made with a tasty vadai. A loose version of the normal urad dal batter is made without addition of rice flour. Pounded pepper, ginger, curry leaves, green chillies and chopped onions are added. Round vadais are made and fried in oil and soaked in sambhar for half an hour. The dish is garnished with ghee, grated carrot, coriander leaves and onions.
