Avineethipai Aksharayudham (Signature as a weapon against corruption), a novel programme was conducted jointly by Hotel Minerva Grand, Tirupati, and 93.5 Red FM on August 15 to send a message loud and clear that society will no longer tolerate corrupt practices. “The rampant corruption is not just affecting the affluent and those willing to pay more for services, but is casting a shadow on the life of the common man”, Kommu Bhaskar, Minerva Group Manager said while affixing his signature. Sridhar, Station head (Tirupati) of 93.5 Red FM explained to the children that corruption affected every spoke of the development wheel, hitting at the very root of the nation’s economy.

Students affixed their signature on the flex banner, and also wrote lively captions and messages like “Sack corrupt politicians and employees”, “Remove capitation fee in education”, “Learn to be honest”, “Man should provide manpower, not become man-eater”, “Stop the greed” and so on. The FM radio jockeys aired these messages throughout the day.
