India's first International Ultimate Frisbee Tournament, The Ultimate Delhight was played recently at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurgaon. Players from 12 national and international teams' along with enthusiasts and fans of this exciting, non contact, self refereed team sport witnessed their favourite game. The final match was between Spinergy, the team from Auroville and HCUK— The Ultimate Connection, which had players from all across India. HCUK- The Ultimate Connection won the tournament Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Francois Ganneau, Tournament Director, Delhi Ultimate, said “This is the first time that Ultimate Frisbee has gone International in India. We are amazed to witness a rise in Indian players, proving Ultimate Frisbee to be one of the fastest growing sports in India as well.

Arjun Vajpai, an alumnus from Ryan International School, Noida, has made another world record by becoming the youngest person in the world to Summit Mt. Manaslu (8,163 metres) Mt. Manaslu is the 4th most challenging peak in the world. He hoisted the Indian Tri-colour on this peak and returned to camp three. He accomplished this difficult feat in a record time. After this success, he has become the youngest mountaineer in the world to have climbed three mountain peaks above 8000 metres.

Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, New Delhi, Vasant Valley School, New Delhi, Sri Aurobindo International School, Hyderabad, Sai International School, Bhubaneshwar and Choithram School, Indore, made it to the top five in Green I and made presentations before a panel of jury. The Green- I Contest for school children is a joint national level initiative of Carrier India and the Confederation of Indian Industry's Young Indians (Yi). The contest aims to create awareness and encourage students to think about environmental sustainability.

A workshop was held for Std XI Commerce students on chartered accountancy at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar . Experts from ICAI shared information about the profession of chartered accountancy. They explained the procedure of admission and different methods and techniques to study for this.

Somerville School Noida hosted the much awaited mega dance and music contest, “ Kala ranjani” recently. The instrumental music segment was enriched by the sounds of the vibrant folk music, embellished by the purity of classical music and energised by contemporary harmonies.

The green crusaders of Bluebells School International , together with the State Bank of India, organised a street play recently at the Nehru Place market square. A team of 40 students, accompanied by three teachers, took part in to attract the common man's attention towards the plight of Mother Nature today. The play was based on a blame game between humans and machines. The students attempted to convey the message that it is our decision to keep our surroundings pristine or choke our city with pollution.
