Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated “Hindi Diwas” recently. The school conducted a special assembly and there was poetry recital, dance and skits by the students. The dance recital “Achutham Keshavam Rama Narayanam” was the highlight of the event. Principal Ms. Varalakshmi lauded the students for their performance and stressed on the need to learn Hindi.

Teacher's Day was celebrated at The Progress Institutions. The teachers were honoured by the management and students. Laxmi Naik Addl ACP (Traffic), T. Pulinder Reddy, ACP South Zone, Md.Taher Ali ACP (East Zone), K. Rama Rao Inspector (Traffic) Falaknuma, G. Laxman Inspector (Traffic) Charminar and S.K.M.Sharief Inspector (Traffic) Mir Chowk graced the occasion. Secretary, Mirza Mohammed Ali Baig, Correspondent Mirza Mustafa Ali Baig, prinicipal Rupa Sharma, vice-principal Mir Shujath Ali and PRO Rita Saxena were present.

Students of Raghunatha Model High School celebrated Self-Government Day recently. Students took up the role of teachers and taught lessons. A cultural programme was held. School principal explained the role of teachers in the life of students to make them better citizens. Awards were presented to the best teachers for 2010-11.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Atmakuri Rama Rao School celebrated Teacher's Day. Chairman, S. Gopalakrishnan, spoke to the students. The investiture ceremony was also held on this day. The new captains were administered the oath by Principal Mrs. P. Satya.

Students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School (Vidyashram), Jubilee Hills, celebrated the 150 birth anniversary of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The programme title “Om Shanti Om” brought the Tagore era and culture and tradition of Bengal alive. The photo gallery, power-point presentation, the ballet “Seasons”, the short story “Kabuliwala” as a play, Rabindra Sangeet and recitation of poems formed an integral part of the programme.
