My trip to queen of hills

My summer holidays were coming to an end when I got a chance to visit Ooty with my family. We began our journey at 6:15 am and five hours later, we were in Coimbatore. We stayed at my aunt’s home for a day. My brother and I had fun with my cousins and also for the first time I got an opportunity to play on my uncle’s laptop. The next morning we caught a bus from Mettupalayam to Ooty. On the way up we saw small waterfalls and monkeys. There were dew drops on all the plants. Finally we reached Ooty. As it was very cold outside we were eagerly waiting to get into our hotel room. We visited a tea-estate and we enjoyed the scenery. We went to the rose- garden and were amazed at many different types of roses we saw. Next we visited the botanical garden. Once again we saw many different types of plants and trees there and most of them were new to me. Finally we went shopping, and bought home-made chocolates, plums and so on. We made a short visit to Coonoor and came back to our hotel room and had a good sleep. Next morning we went back to Coimbatore and took a train to Ernakulam and from there we took a train to our home town, Kottayam. At Kottayam we had a heavy meal in a Punjabi restaurant. That night was so special for me as I felt I was still in Ooty.
