My kite

A couple of days ago, when I was sitting in class, I saw a mauve-coloured kite in the sky. Its thread had been detached and it was being carried by the wind. After a time I saw that it had landed in the school playground. Just then the teacher called out my name and scolded me for not being attentive. But very soon my attention was again drawn to the mauve kite. It looked beautiful with the sunlight falling on it. I was busy admiring the kite when I suddenly became aware of the teacher staring at me scornfully. He asked me a question which I was not able to answer. Again he scolded me and this time he ordered me to stand outside the classroom. Reluctantly, I obeyed and went outside. I was feeling very miserable as I could not see the kite any more. I realised that I was very fascinated by the kite’s beauty. I was waiting impatiently for the period to get over. Soon the period was over and the next class was Games. I was ecstatic not because it was games class, but, because I could go to the playground and see the beautiful kite. A minute later, I reached the playground. But, to my great sorrow, I couldn’t see the kite anywhere. Immediately, I started searching for it. But again I was out of luck. I couldn’t spot it anywhere in the playground. I was very unhappy. Then I looked above in despair and said, “Oh God, where shall I look for the kite?” Just as I said this, I saw something pale in colour waving near the top of the school building. I was wondering what it could be, but then I recognised its triangular shape and pale purple colour. “That’s the kite!”, I exclaimed with triumphant joy. It was slowly coming down as the wind stopped blowing and I was ready to catch it. About 20 seconds later the beautiful kite landed in my hands. Some of my friends came to the scene and we all decided to fly the kite the next day. The very next morning, we all gathered at the city park and I brought the mauve kite. We flew the kite turn by turn. Finally, my turn came and I enjoyed this opportunity to the full. The kite soared very high indeed and I savoured every moment.
