Leaving on a plane

November 18, 2013 03:21 pm | Updated 03:21 pm IST

I was quite excited about my first plane journey to Dubai.

My mother and I went to the airport, got through security and boarded the plane. When the plane was taxiing for take-off, it was shaking and I was scared. “What is this?” I thought. “Is it an earthquake?”

Finally we were airborne. The airline staff was helpful and brought food items like kuboos, fried meat and soft drinks. I took kuboos, two pieces of meat and a soft drink while my mom had one kuboos and a piece of meat. There was a small TV in front of me and I switched it on. There was a match between India and South Africa and India won by four wickets.

This journey was memorable especially as it was my first time on a plane.
