All days aren’t the same — we would rather forget the bad ones, right?
Remember the day you were over-excited about something and you couldn’t hold it within you and misbehaved? Your teacher stormed out of the class, then stormed in with the Principal close behind, who stormed , “ Don’t you have manners?”
A really bad day, indeed!
Normally we associate storm with violent weather — not with people. But in the above situation, the word is applied to show very angry reactions — that of the teacher as well as the Principal. All justified, as you created the storm yourself! Then the tough time you had, trying to convince the Principal that the entire event was just a storm in a teacup and that it was a small event blown out of proportion. Rough times!
