Binani Industries Limited and Ghanshyam Binani Foundation have invited nominations for the 12th Ghanshyam Binani Children’s Bravery Awards. The Award, into its 12th year recognises the brave acts of deserving children below 16 years of age.

The Foundation has invited nominations from children who have shown remarkable bravery during the period from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012.

The award has two categories — male and the female.

Deserving children from these categories will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 51,000, a Medal of Courage, a Certificate of Recognition and a Citation each.

The recipients of the Award will be announced in March 2013.

Eligibility criteria:

Nominations are invited from all over India

The child should be below 16 years

Act of the child should reflect bravery against physical attack / violence or to save a human life risking his or her own life

Nominations should be backed by some authenticity in the form of documents, appreciation or coverage of the incident in the media

Nominations can also be proposed by others

The act of bravery should be between the period January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012

The decision of the Award committee will be final

The nominations should reach by January 31, 2013

Nominations may be sent by individuals, social organisations, institutions covering the details of the incident, date, time, location, name and contact address of the children.
