The story

School finals are over and it’s celebration time for Tenida and his friends Habul, Kyabla and Pela. Undeterred by the prospect of dismal scores and determined to make their holidays eventful, the four friends, led by Tenida, their loud-mouthed yet lovable leader, travel to Jhantipahari. Their holiday is eventful. They meet sadhu Gloomyswami, stay in a house that is rumoured to be haunted, and stumble upon a group that prints counterfeit notes.Followed by five more stories, this is an exciting read.

The Author

Narayan Gangopadhyay was a novelist, poet, and essayist. Born in Baliadingi, Bangladesh, he began writing when he was a child. His first reader was his friend Sudhin. Some of the stories he wrote for children include Saptakanda, Andhakarer Agantuk, Chotader Shrestha Galpa Tenida , and many more. He was also a playwright, and his plays Bhadate Chai and Agantuk were widely acclaimed.
