How whacky is bizarre?

From dressed up ducks to poodles… describe it as bizarre.

A UFO with bright lights was spotted in between the trees in the neighbourhood of Ohio. The witnesses experienced a bizarre feeling before the UFO cloaked itself and disappeared!

The word bizarre means unusually strange, odd or whacky.

What the duck

Have you heard of the Fashionable Ducks’ Show that happens in Australia in which duck-lovers employ dress-makers who individually style each duck in fashionable clothes, or of the Chinese dog-owner who dresses up his poodles in girls’ hats and skirts and takes them for a stroll?

Both are quite bizarre things to do, right?

You might have heard of bizarre coincidences or seen dancers dressed in rather bizarre costumes. Unpredictable behaviour can be described as bizarre behaviour. So, when you see a person, object or situation that is very odd or unusual in appearance, style or character you could exclaim, “How bizarre !”
