For the hundreds of students who visited the Exhibition on Wheels “Mother Express” recently at Railway Exhibition Ground, it was an inspiring experience.

The train that chugged into the city recently highlighted the life and times of Mother Teresa.

It was a tribute to Mother Teresa commemorating her birth centenary. On the first day, more than 7,300 people visited the exhibition wheels.

One of the exhibits highlighted the 700 awards and honours she received for her service from 1962-97.

It included the Padma Shri in 1962, Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, Bharat Ratna in 1980 and Gold Medal of Soviet Peace Committee in 1987.
