School Notes from Kochi

A golden jubilee year get together of the 1960 SSLC batch students of the SRV High School was held at the school. A few alumni settled abroad too participated. The batchmates sponsored a few desks and benches for the school. The district-level inauguration of Reading Day too was held at SRV. The Satya Sai Seva Samity and Muthoot Finance gave uniforms to select students and also vessels for the noon-meals scheme, said N.V. Raju, principal.

A day-long workshop for physical education and yoga teachers of Bhavans schools in Kochi was held at the Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Girinagar . Forty five teachers participated in it. The school won the best-school in Kochi and best-teacher awards for the year instituted by Young Indians (YI). Nirmala V.K., the school's Commerce teacher was selected by the Rotary Club to visit the UK under an exchange programme. She is one among the four teachers from southern India selected for the visit.
