Five-year-old Sahaj Tiku Miya, who is an avid artist, bagged an award at the Kids Art Competition in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The event was held as part of the Meadows Festival 2009 featuring arts, music and Capoeira - an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines martial arts, games, music and dance - demonstrations. The Kids Tent, alongside the Arts Tent from Edinburgh College of Arts, had children engrossed in arts and crafts workshop, storytelling and more.

And there is more. Sahaj's painting went on to grace the cover leaf of the invites sent out for the prestigious event.

Sahaj studies in Primary 2 at Sciennes Primary School, Edinburgh and plans to keep at his canvas as he takes out time from his school and play hours.
