It was an electrifying experience at the inter-school round of the Limca Book of Records Quiz held at Etasi Timpany School recently as six teams fought with each other to move to the next level. After hours of fun, frolic and a keen fight, the team of T. Ravi and Ravi Teja from Visakha Valley School made it to the semi-final round to be held later. The winners will be among the 80 schools competing for the semi-final round. The winning team was felicitated by Amer Hussain, Factory Manager – Visakhapatnam, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd.

Battle time

Earlier, a 30-minute preliminary written round was held to shortlist the six finalists. The schools to qualify for the next round were Little Angels, MVP Public School, Kendriya Vidyalaya (NAD), Bethany School, Etasi Timpany School and Visakha Valley School. What followed next was an exciting battle of wits at the end of which the Visakha Valley School team were declared as City Winners of the Limca Book of Records Quiz 2010. Students from over 80 schools took part in the inter-school finals.

In the semi-final round, the city winners will compete for the national finals. Top 10 teams with a minimum of two teams from each zone out of four zones and two top scorers from the semi-final rounds will be selected for the National Finals that will be hosted by quizmaster Derek O'Brien.
