The second Abhinaya Summer Theatre Festival, organised by the Abhinaya Theatre Research Centre, will be held in Kottayam from May 27 to 29.

Three plays, namely ‘Bhagavadajjukam', The Lesson, and Macbeth, all of which are directed by Jyothish M.G. will be staged at the K.C. Mammen Mappillai Hall here.

‘Bhagavadajjukam', a satirical play that is based on a 2000-year-old Sanskrit text, reflects upon a pluralistic society, where man has lost his clear and explicable vision.

Eugene Ionesco's ‘The Lesson' is a cocktail of violence and comedy. Shakespeare's renowned play ‘Macbeth' depicts the mental turmoil of Lord Macbeth.
