Chasing my Mamet Duck

Updated - August 13, 2016 12:20 am IST - Bangalore, Chennai

The Duck for Mamet’s characters was a metaphor for their longings, failings, happiness, loss and their lives. It is all that they are as well as all that they could be, and could have been.

For us the Duck is pretty much that – a search for what is and what could be, both in form and personal meaning. With form we push the boundaries of Theatre with the creation of Trans-Theatre, a theatre that transcends the stage in space and in feeling, bringing together everything from Live Exhibits that urge an audience to react, to creative impulses provided by the audiences, and even Audiences connecting with each other through Social transactions, beyond the usual bringing down of the Fourth wall – this is a new socialization process urging an audience to invest and therefore take something back for themselves.

With meaning, Chasing the Mamet Duck is creating the perfect spot in this world for us, and hence for the world around – welcome to this search…
