Under the joint sponsorship of State Cultural Department, Somanadha Natyamandali and Sarada Kala Samithi of Vijayawada, an enjoyable mythological dance drama Andal Kalyanam ( Goda Kalyanam ) was presented at Gokaraju Laila Gangaraju Kala Vedika.

Vishnuchitta, a great devotee of Lord Vishnu finds an infant in a Tulasi Vanam. He raises the child affectionately and names her as Goda Devi.

The Youthful Goda Devi also becomes an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu and daily offers a garland of Tulasi to Vishnu but not before wearing it first. Vishnuchitta was angered at this gesture of Goda Devi and chides her for this. Lord Vishnu pacifies Vishnuchitta and then marries Goda Devi in a divine union.
