‘Hitchcock - 3 Short Plays in shades of Black & White and Blood Red' is a 90-minute performance inspired by the hit television series of the 50s ‘Alfred Hitchcock presents'. The show, presented by Stray Factory, captures signature Hitchcock elements — suspense, murder and, of course, the twist in the tale. It will be the first English adaptation of the series in Chennai.

Each of the plays has been conceived and directed by Chennai theatre artistes Mathivanan Rajendran, Vivek Hariharan and Gitanjali Raman. The production is the first attempt of its kind in bringing under the mantle, collaborators and artistes across the country and the globe, who have conceptualised the performance as a neo noir mystery play — with Karthik Varma (Chennai), Kuru (band from Ontario Canada) on music, Sruthi Atmakur (New Jersey) and Aditi Kulkarni (Mumbai) on set design, and the cast itself from Bangalore, Coimbatore, Puducherry and Chennai.

The show will be staged on July 17 and July 25 at 7.15 p.m. at the Museum Theatre, Egmore. For tickets (priced at Rs. 150, Rs. 200, Rs. 300 and Rs. 500) call 9790 911 711 or log onto www.indianstage.in.

Tickets are also available at Gatsby Village, Neelangarai and Gatsby Raymond, Nungambakkam. A student discount of Rs. 50 is being offered on all passes.
