Consecration at Saidapet

Preliminary rituals are on at Sri Tiripurasundari samedha Sri Soundareswarar temple in Saidapet, where consecration is scheduled for Sunday, March 11. The temple is also called Sadhayapuri and Vada Tirunaraiyur.

Vanni is the sthalavriksham of the temple. Worship of the tree is believed to cure ailments, especially those related to the skin. The ancient temple has been renovated with a five-tier rajagopuram. Consecration will take place at 10.55 a.m.
