N.C.Ravali is a promising vocalist and her performance at a concert revealed tradition and her style of learning. Her soulful voice went on to enhance her performance during a concert for Sangeetha Ksheerasagaram last week as part the sabha's annual festival. Her rich repertoire opened with Patnam's Todi varnam Year Napai in Adi talam rendered in two speeds.

She then went on to Nadatanumanisam in Chittaranjani of Thyagaraja and proceeded with another number Anupama Gunambudhi of the same composer, in Athana. The number had interesting swarakalpana as well.

Bhadrachala Ramadasu's Ennaganu Ramahajana in Pantuvarali was the first number she chose to present a bit extensively with Ragalapana followed by rendition of kirti meaningfully in which she presented nereval at the line, Ramachilukanokati extending the sahitya impact. The swarakalapana part was exhilarating as well. Marivere of Shyama Sastry in Ananda Bhairavi was a plain yet soulful rendition. Later she chose to present Annamacharya's Nagumogamutodi in Malavi Khandachapu talam.

After presenting Nadasudharasa of Thyagaraja in Arabhi she took up Keeravani for main exposition of the concert. The raga was well dealt with..

The tani avartanam by U. Kalaivaraprasad on mridagnam and M. Chandrakanth on ghatam added appeal to the total number. Papanasam Sivan's Srinivasa in Hamsanandi, a jawali Marubari Talanura of Dharmapuri Subba Raya Iyyer, Ramanama Thum Japo Japo in Lalith was an excellent rendition. This was followed by Tukaram's Abhang almost towards the end. The concert was concluded with a Tillana in Jhamjhuti of Veena Seshanna. Ravali revealed on occasions a taste for speed and less clarity in Mandra. She was accompanied by N.C. Anantakrishna on violin, who lent a satisfying support throughout.
