The ancestral home of violin expert Vittal Ramamurthy at Nidle, Karnataka, resonates with music every May. Children from all the surrounding villages and towns assemble here for five days, music being the sole agenda. Leading artists come here to teach, and perform. This year the visiting artists were Bombay Jayasri, Abhishek Raghuram, Vishal Sapuram, Udupi Gopalakrishna and Umayalpuram Mali. Stimulating improvised sessions by Abhishek, performances by Jayasri, Udupi Gopalakrishna and Vishal made this year's Camp memorable. And the food and hospitality were typical of the region, loved by all.
