Global Heritage Music Festival from Dec 14

The 2012 edition of the Global Heritage Music Festival kicks off in Chennai on December 14.

E. Gayathri, Director Tamil Nadu Govt Music Colleges, and renowned percussionist Umayalpuram K. Shivaraman will inaugurate the festival at the premises of the Hare Krishna Movement in Thiruvanmiyur. R. Vedavalli, and Carnatica Brothers K.N. Sashikiran and P. Ganesh will perform on the inaugural day.

On till December 23, the festival includes concerts by R. Vedavalli, N. Ramani, T.V. Shankaranarayanan, T.N. Krishnan, Gopika Varma, K. Mahathi, followed by the Carnatica Brothers, K.N. Sashikiran and P. Ganesh. Other artists including the Hyderabad Brothers, R.K. Srikantan, Rajesh Vaidya, Sriram Parasuram and Anuradha Sriram.
