Audition for children

July 30, 2010 12:00 am | Updated 05:01 pm IST

Kala Manjari, 6/12, First Street, Venus Colony, Alwarpet, plans to form a children’s choral group, Sa Re Gaa, to make singing an enjoyable adventure for them. An audition is to be held on August 4, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. The aim is to find out the interest levels of the children – it will not “test” them. The panel of judges includes Sudha Raja, Sangeetha Sivakumar and Janaki Sabesh.

The songs will be chosen from the works of great Indian poets and will include lyrics in all languages. After three months of training, on November 3, the children will present a performance.
