Founder-president of Nataraj Music and Dance Academy, Bathina Vikram Goud (M.A. Dance, A.U.), got the story Sree Chenchulakshmi Narasimha kalyanam scripted in ballet form by noted writer Rambhatla Narasimha Sarma, an employee of the local Akashvani studios. After getting it set to music by Dwaram Thyagaraju (lecturer, M.R. Govt. Music and Dance College, Vizianagaram) and choreographed by the founder-secretary of the Academy K.V. Lakshmi, he had it staged at Simhachalam near Narasimhaswamy temple on the hill as part of the Swamy's Kalyanotsavam last Saturday.

Starting with the episode of his emergence from a pillar followed by Hiranyakasipu vadha, it depicted in detail how Mahavishnu in the guise of Narasimhaswamy was followed by Mahalakshmi in the guise of Chencheetha and got married to him.

K. Aruna as Chenchulakshmi and Githanjali as Mahavishnu in the guise of the chencu youth, Vikram Goud as Narisimhaswamy, Sai Jyothi as Adilakshmi, M. Murali Mohan as Hiranyakasipu, A.R. Mohan Rao, Lalitha Ramanujam, child artiste Sreeranjani as Prahlada along with A.V. Narasimham, Kavya, D.R.K.M. Lakshmi, Sujana, Padmini, Yasaswi, Iswarya, Jahnavi, Leela, Pranathi and Geethankitha in other roles, individually and together as a team attractively presented the ballet.

Stage décor by A.V. Pushpak, make-up and dresses by Chiranjeevi and Sarada Dress Co. Ltd., vocals by music composer Tyagaraju Dwaram himself, supported well on the mridangam by M. Edukondalu, violin by M. Neeladri Rao, tabla by Srinivas and dappu by Raju, proved to be assets.
