MBA programme in International Marketing

Management Development Institute Singapore (MDIS) has launched a one-year comprehensive MBA programme in international marketing in association with Bangor University.

This course has been designed to explore the principles, theoretical concepts and practice of marketing within the context of business and management.

It will focus on developing academic and applied skills in marketing including advertising, brand management and loyalty, customer service, public relations and market research.

Eligibility and skill required:

Applicant must have a lower second class honours degree or higher or equivalent overseas qualification.

Grade may be considered on a case-by-case basis. The candidate must have IELTS 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Fee structure: The course fee for the entire curriculum is SGD 22, 470.00 (approximately Rs. 10,65,677.92 lakh).

Scholarships:

MDIS offers a scholarship of SGD 4000 (per student) provided that the student is a graduate with 75 per cent or more and has contributed significantly to the society through his/her project/endeavour.

Admissions open at Orient Flight School

Orient Flight School has announced the dates for the admission to the Commercial Pilots Course for the Academic Year 2014 -15.

The course would render candidates eligible to take up a flying career with any commercial airliner, on completion. They would also qualify for UGC approved B. Sc (Aviation) degree of the Hindustan University, Chennai.

Candidates can log on to www.orientflights.com to download a copy of the application form. The last date for submission of completed application form is July 20.

Candidates who are 16 years of age or older and who have completed their Class XII or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics are eligible to apply for this course.

It is a two-year course requiring a minimum of 200 hours of flying time for flight training. On ground training for DGCA (Director General of Civil Aviation) examinations will also be undertaken during the course period covering subjects such as air regulations, air navigation; aircraft and engines; radio telephony etc.

The course also includes training on a modern Flight Simulator — French Manufactured ALSIM AL - 50 for visual flying, instrument flying and practice of upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT). Completion of this CPL will make the candidates eligible for taking up a career as commercial pilots with all leading aircraft operators.
