Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Scholarship

Available for Ph.D. study in India on Indian history and civilisation, sociology, comparative studies in religion and culture, economics, geography, philosophy, ecology and environment.

Eligibility: A full-time Ph.D. scholar of age 35 years or below can apply.

Awarded to young and budding artists every year with an objective to provide a workspace where their skills can be improved and where they can develop innovative ideas in their respective field of visual arts.

Eligibility: A rtists between ages 21 and 35 years can apply.

Prizes and rewards: Rs. 10,000 per month for 12 months. Total 40 scholarships every year.

Post-doctoral Fellowship to Women candidates

To provide students an opportunity to carry out advanced studies and research in science, engineering and technology, humanities and social sciences in Indian universities, the UGC has initiated this scheme.

Eligibility: The candidate must have a doctorate degree with an upper age limit of 55 years (in a few cases upto 60 years).

Application: Online

Prizes and rewards: Total duration of fellowship is five years. Stipend varies from Rs.18,000 to Rs.46,500 per month. Around 100 seats are available.
