A group of 15 racing enthusiasts from the Mechanical Department of Sona College of Technology have won the first place in the SUPRA SAE INDIA 2014, a national level engineering competition held recently.

Organised by the SAE INDIA (Society of Automotive engineers) in association with Maruti Suzuki, the competition presents the under graduate engineering students a platform to design and fabricate a formula type race car. Team Terasvin from the college was among the 150 teams selected for the fabrication process through the virtual round held in KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, but only 85 teams arrived at the race track with the complete car.
