Empowering India through quality education

Quality education has the power to transform society in a single generation; provide children with the protection they need from poverty, exploitation and disease; and give them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their full potential. Real quality in education is fundamental to the quality of the human resource of the nation which is responsible for delivering products and services to the community.

All across the world, education has grown in stature as well as in its mass appeal. The scope of education is extremely wide and therefore students are constantly looking for trustworthy educational avenues. Their parents too are constantly in search of bettering the lives of their children through fruitful education.

Keeping this in mind, branding of education has become necessary. An educational brand succeeds on the basis of faith and trust and therefore quality of education imparted would be the foremost consideration for a stakeholder to choose an educational brand.

Responding to the call of the former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam during the 10th anniversary celebrations of CII Institute of Quality (CII-IQ) for the creation of ‘Brand India through quality' in all spheres, the education excellence vertical has organised this year's National Summit on Education with the central theme of ‘Empowering India through Quality Education.'

CII- IQ, Bangaloreis hosting the 14th edition of the summit on September 23 and 24 at Vivanta by Taj, Yeshwantpur.

The summit will feature concurrent sessions for higher education institutions and schools covering topics related to Indian education as a brand; leveraging Indian human capital, technology; learning from other sectors; sustaining quality through certifications and accreditation; and creating an environment for quality learning.

The summit will have speakers from the government, schools, colleges, corporate organisations, NGOs, from India and abroad who will share their experiences, ideas and models which can be adopted in different environments. Case studies and experiences from Amity University, Infosys Science Foundation, Canon India, Amar Chitra Katha, Jagriti Public School, VIT, BITS Pilani, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Government of Himachal Pradesh and many more will be presented.
