The LBS Centre for Science and Technology has invited applications online up to August 26 on www.lbscentre.in for admissions to various professional paramedical diploma courses offered by the government and private self-financing institutions in the State, controlled by the Directorate of Medical Education. Applicants should remit a fee of Rs.400 (Rs.200 for Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes) in any branch of the Federal Bank in the State and get a challan number and application number which are essential for online registration. Submit a single application to be considered for various courses and institutions. One can obtain a copy of the prospectus from any of the LBS facilitation centres by producing the bank challan receipt. Prospectus may also be download from www.lbscentre.in.
A printout along with a copy of the bank challan receipt and self-attested copies of relevant certificates should be sent to the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Nandavanam, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram – 33 so as to reach before 5 p.m. on or before August 26.
Admission is open to 14 regular courses — Pharmacy (D.Pharm.), Health Inspector (DHI), Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), Radiological Technology (DRT), Ophthalmic Assistance (DOA), Dental Mechanics (DMC), Dental Hygienists (DHC), Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology (DOTAT), Cardiovascular Technology (DCVT), Neuro Technology (DNT), Dialysis Technology (DDT), Endoscopic Technology (DET), Dental Operating Room Assistance (DORA), and Respiratory Technology (DR).
Eligibility
Those who have passed Plus Two or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science as optional subjects are eligible to apply for D.Pharm. course.
For Health Inspector course, applicants should have passed Plus Two or equivalent course with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have secured at least 40 per cent marks or equivalent grade (35 per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes).
For admissions to all other paramedical courses, applicants should have passed Plus Two or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have secured at least 40 per cent marks or equivalent grade (35 per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes).
There is no entrance test and the rank list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the relevant optional subjects.
