Convocation: Visvesvaraya Technological University’s retired Vice-Chancellor H.P. Khincha called upon the students to work with dedication to achieve excellence in academic career as well as in life so that the dreams of the parents are fulfilled. He was speaking as chief guest at the convocation of C. Byregowda Institute of Technology (CBIT) on the outskirts of Kolar recently. He also suggested students not to carried away by bad thoughts and activities. Engineering graduates can get jobs in any field in this competitive era, he said. Principal K.R. Suresh, TTIT treasurer K. Prabhakara Reddy, trustee N. Manjula, and others participated.

Gold Rush programme: The Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology (TTIT) at Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) organised its annual day programme on the campus recently. Named ‘Gold Rush,’ the programme was inaugurated by Mysore University Vice-Chancellor K.S. Rangappa. “There is no substitute for hard work to achieve academic excellence”, he said. Former MLA M. Bhaktavatsalam was the chief guest. Golden Valley Education Trust chairman T. Venkat Vardhan presided. Principal of the college Syed Arif was present.
