Suburb schools score cent per cent result

After achieving 100 per cent pass percentage in the Plus Two examinations, Sri Sankara Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School in East Tambaram secured the same distinction in Class X public examinations. All students passed in first class.

R. Subha emerged as the topper securing 492 out of 500 marks, followed by V. Sivasubramanian (488) and R. Shobana, R. Navaneeth, K. Athreya and B. Shalini, who scored 486 marks.

Subha scored a centum in English, S. Srilatha in Sanskrit, A.R. Balasubramaniam, Madhanagopal and Bhavani in mathematics. 20 students scored centums in science and social studies, said a note from M. Ramakrishnan and Vasantha Mahadevan, who also lauded the efforts of the teachers for providing excellent coaching to the students.

Zion School

All the 879 students of Zion Group of Schools who appeared for the Class X public examinations have passed.

A note from the school said that 623 students from Selaiyur, 164 from Madambakkam and 92 from the Sembakkam-Hasthinapuram units of the school appeared for the examinations and all of them passed in first class.


In Selaiyur, V. Anugraha was the school topper securing 493 marks, scoring centums in mathematics and science. P. Kirthika and Preethi Sharon secured second place scoring 492 marks and S. Vijaya Ganesh and M. Vignesh got third place scoring 491 marks. At Madambakkam, Srihari Sajeev scored 490 marks and in Sembakkam-Hasthinapuram, V. Sai Prasanna Venkatesh scored 478 marks, including a centum in science.

Four students scored centums in English, eight in mathematics, 33 in science and 18 in social science. Members of Parent Teachers Association and parents lauded the school management and teachers for the success of the students, the note added.
