Solo painting exhibition by civil engineer

Paintings by artiste M. Madhavan are on display at the Achalam Art Gallery. A civil engineer with a masters degree in structural engineering, Madhavan paints as a hobby. He does pencil sketches, replicates temple architecture in oil and acrylic paintings. The exhibition, which was inaugurated by A. Rajendran, head of the department of visual communication, Government College of Fine Arts, is on till May 18. The gallery is at 979, Lakshmanaswamy Salai, K.K. Nagar.
