From pedigree dogs to military strategy, Abuzz, PSBB’s inter-branch quiz competition covered a wide ground.

In its 5th edition, the event was held at PSBB, K.K. Nagar, for students from class IX to XI.

Two teams each — with each of the team comprising three members — from PSBB, K.K. Nagar and Nungambakkam and one from Siruseri took part in the contest organised by the Quiz Club of the school.

Famed quizmaster and driving force behind the Landmark Quiz, Dr. Navin Jaykumar kept the teams and the audience engaged with his witty comments and intriguing hints.

Every question that the teams failed to answer was passed on to the audience. He was helped by Venkatesh Srinivasan, co-founder of Nexus Consulting.

After four tough rounds, the team comprising Manav Thathacharya, Prabhu Nargunam and G. Akshay of PSBB, K.K. Nagar emerged winner. The award consisted of a certificate and cash.

Y.G. Parthasarathy, Dean & Director, PSBB Group of Schools; Sheela Rajendran, Deputy Dean and Director, and principals of the three branches graced the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheela Rajendran said that, “the idea behind such a quiz competition is to enable students to learn about Indian culture and traditions apart from keeping track of current affairs.”

She encouraged more students to take up quizzing.
