Wordly Wise, an activity and resource centre for children, is organising ‘A play a day,’ a drama workshop for kids, where the focus is on developing the personality of children rather than providing a performance for an audience. This workshop is being organised in association with Shakila Arun of Applause Theatre.

The workshop is spread over 10 sessions. After each session the participants will give a performance. The idea is to hone their skills and gain confidence without stressing themselves over rehearsals and a formal audience. The workshop will cover script/story reading/telling, drama activities, puppet plays, masked drama, mime, performance poetry, movement, music, dance, prop creation, makeup and costumes.Workshop will be held on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. beginning from December 8. The sessions will be held up to February 2012. Children in the age group of three to seven can take part in the workshop.

Wordly Wise is at No.4, Landons Road, Behind Ega Theatre, Kilpauk. For registration, contact Sapna Dugar at 98840 52220.
