‘Achchamundu!’ to be screened at Cairo festival

Transcending the cultural and geographical barriers, a Tamil film Achchamundu! Achchamundu!, directed by Arun Vidyanathan, is making waves across the world. The film has found its entry in the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival, Egypt, which begins on 10th November.

The film has already been screened at Shanghai International Film Festival, Garden State Film Festival and Digital Cinema Film Festival in Japan. Sneha, Prasanna and John shea play the lead roles in Achchamundu!. It was entirely shot in U.S..

Director Arun Vidyanathan had recently received a media guild award for creating awareness on child sex abuse. “A recognition in the international film festival makes the entire team happy, I was excited when Achchamundu! was screened at Shanghai festival with Chinese subtitles. The Chinese audience gave a fantastic response. As a film maker it makes me happy that a Tamil film could transcend the language and cultural barriers”, he said.
