Sonal Chauhan on what keeps her happy

Sonal Chauhan is not your usual tinsel town newbie always striving to flaunt her size zero body. At least, that’s what she says! Her line is pretty clear: eat all and stay fit.

The dusky beauty seen opposite Emraan Hashmi in the Bhatt camp film Jannat , says she doesn’t believe in following a strict diet and salad binging.

In New Delhi recently to promote her upcoming flick 3G with Neil Nitin Mukesh, though admits “working real hard” to attain a figure befitting her role in the film.

In spite of undergoing rigorous swimming classes to wear a swim suit in the thriller and sticking to a balanced meal plan, Sonal says she didn’t compromise much on her love for food.

“I don’t understand the need to be thin, people should be healthy,” says the actress.

Sonal doesn’t believe in rigorous gym workouts either. She advises people“to hit the machines for about five to six hours in a week at the most.” What is she sure about is yoga and also meditation. “It keeps the stress factor away,” she says. She recommends regular breathing exercises. “Life can become a bit simpler then.”

Sonal is not for too much make-up and feels, “There should be a no make-up month in Bollywood since the overuse of beauty products can make the skin lethargic.”

As summer is round the corner, Sonal says she will concentrate more on fluids now and signs off saying, “Also, people should laugh more often.”
