The producer in Andhra Pradesh reportedly bought the dubbed version of Engeyum Eppodhum titled Journey for sixty lakhs and it has collected four crore so far; Journey is still running and the producer is still counting his money. The director and actors meanwhile are basking in the glory as critics have given them full marks for their work, what more, one of the actors Anjali got a big break. She has been chosen to play Venkatesh's wife in Seetamavakitlo Sirimalle Chettu after the producers have observed her fiery performance.

Ananya on the other hand is yet to sign a film in Telugu but she makes it very clear… it is only roles of substance for her otherwise she is happy doing Malayalam cinema.

The Cochin girl is yet to get over the euphoria, she talks in child-like manner and reminisces the call from Murugadoss's production house. “Everything about the film, director, script, performances, the technicality was perfect.”

The actor says she got quickly into the role and started living it. “On the sets too when I wasn't shooting I would behave like Amrutha (the character in Journey ) and Sharwanand would question me as to why I'm taking it so seriously. My best scene in the film was eating in a restaurant.” Ananya says she never believed it when the project was offered to her and wondered why out of all the people Murugadoss would call her. The first compliment after the film released came from him.”

A heroine's career span in this industry is very short but Ananya is not overtly bothered. She says she doesn't bother as to how many films she is offered or doing, what matters is if she is being given enough importance in the film and if her role is imperative to the story. She avers, “I'm not at all choosy when it comes to Malayalam. Luckily my films in Tamil, Telugu or Kannada have done well.” The 23-year-old pretty actor is a busy star in Malayalam. She hardly has any time for herself but when she does she watches movies and talks only movies.

Ask Ananya her current state of mind she replies, “I'm enjoying my journey and waiting for the 150 days celebrations.”
